It’s so discouraging to bounce around from task to task all day, doing whatever feels most urgent, only to end the day feeling like you got nothing done. Ugh. So frustrating.
I'm here to tell you there's a better way. When I became a mom, I was already struggling to manage everything in my life – all the tasks, projects, appointments, social events, household chores – and adding kids into the picture only amplified the struggle. As my family grew, what was required of me picked up speed, and I found myself feeling like I was barely treading water.
I tried everything that I knew to manage my life and my family and get out of the constant state of stress that I found myself in.
But, I simply lacked the skills.
In my overwhelmed and desperate state, I intentionally set out to make things better for myself. Through trial and error, I figured out how to stop the hamster wheel marathon that I was running, and my system for intentional time management was born.
